About C9-15 Alketh-8
C9-15 Alketh-8 is a polyethylene glycol ether of a synthetic C9-15 fatty alcohol mixture with an average of 8 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to create emulsion formulations in which water and oil are evenly combined.[2]
