About C6-10 Pareth-4 Phosphate

C6-10 Pareth-4 Phosphate is a complex mixture of esters of synthetic ethoxylated alcohols containing 6–10 carbon atoms and phosphoric acid, with an average of 4 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 4 at the end of the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. It changes the balance between water-loving and oil-loving portions, resulting in differences in cleansing performance, emulsifying ability, and sensory feel. In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities be rinsed away with water, create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
