About C30-50 Pareth-10

C30-50 Pareth-10 is a polyethylene glycol ether of a mixture of synthetic alcohols containing 30–50 carbon atoms, with an average of 10 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 10 at the end of the name refers to the average number of ethylene oxide units added. It changes the balance between water-loving and oil-loving portions, resulting in differences in cleansing power, emulsifying ability, and feel. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
