About C20-40 Alketh-24
C20-40 Alketh-24 is the polyethylene glycol ether of a mixture of synthetic fatty alcohols with 20-40 carbon atoms and an average of 24 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
