About C20-22 Pareth-30
C20-22 Pareth-30 is a polyethylene glycol ether of a synthetic C20-22 alcohol mixture with an average ethoxylation value of 30 moles.[1] The number 30 at the end of the name refers to the average number of ethylene oxide units added. It changes the balance between water-attracting and oil-attracting parts, resulting in differences in cleansing, emulsifying ability, and feel. In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and reduce surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
