C14-15 Alketh-7 is a polyethylene glycol ether of a mixture of synthetic fatty alcohols containing 14–15 carbon atoms and an average of 7 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly blended.[2]
