About C12-15 Pareth-10
C12-15 Pareth-10 is the polyethylene glycol ether of a synthetic C12-15 fatty alcohol mixture with an average of 10 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 10 at the end of the name refers to the average number of added ethylene oxide units. It changes the balance between water-loving and oil-loving portions, resulting in differences in cleansing performance, emulsifying ability, and sensory feel. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to reduce surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
