C12-15 Alketh-8 Phosphate is a complex mixture of esters of synthetic C12-15 ethoxylated alcohols with an average of 8 moles of ethylene oxide and phosphoric acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly, to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to help sebum and impurities be washed away with water.[2]
