C12-14 Alketh-12 is a polyethylene glycol ether of a synthetic C12-14 alcohol mixture with an average of 12 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended.[2]
