About C12-13 Pareth-10 Phosphate
C12-13 Pareth-10 Phosphate is a complex mixture of esters of phosphoric acid and C12-13 Pareth-10.[1] The number 10 at the end of the name refers to the average number of added ethylene oxide units; it changes the balance between water-loving and oil-loving portions, resulting in differences in cleansing power, emulsifying ability, and sensory feel. In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
