About C11-15 Pareth-30
C11-15 Pareth-30 is a polyethylene glycol ether of a mixture of synthetic fatty alcohols containing 11 to 15 carbon atoms, with an average of 30 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 30 at the end of the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added; it changes the balance between water-loving and oil-loving portions, affecting cleansing and emulsifying performance and sensory feel. In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
