About Butoxy Chitosan

Butoxy Chitosan is a derivative of chitosan and acetoacetic acid obtained by reductive amination.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to form a thin film on the skin, hair, and nail surfaces after application; to reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother grooming; and to adjust formula viscosity and flow.[2]
