About Buteth-2 Acetate
Buteth-2 Acetate is an ester formed by combining portions derived from an acid and an alcohol.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to keep a raw material's characteristic odor or flavor from becoming too prominent, to add fragrance to a product or adjust a raw material's characteristic odor, and to dissolve other raw materials to create a uniform formula.[1] It is also used to adjust the formula's viscosity and flow.[1]
