In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formula ingredients caused by reactions with oxygen, reduce friction and add a smooth feel to skin or hair, and reduce hair tangling and a rough feel for smoother hair.[1] It is also used to leave nails feeling smooth and supple.[1]
