About Bismaleate

Bismaleate is an ester in which parts derived from an acid and an alcohol are joined. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction and add a smooth feel to skin or hair, reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for smoother conditioning, and add flexibility so films or polymer layers do not become excessively rigid.[1] It is also used to dissolve other raw materials and create a uniform formula.[1]
