About Bis-PEG-1 Dimethicone/PPG-26/Ipdi Copolymer
Bis-PEG-1 Dimethicone/PPG-26/Ipdi Copolymer is a copolymer of PPG-26, Isophorone Diisocyanate (IPDI), and Bis-PEG-1 Dimethicone.[1] The number 1 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; within the same basic structure, changing this number may also change water compatibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, form a thin film on the skin, hair, and nail surfaces after application, and leave the skin surface soft and smooth.[2]
