About Bis-Methoxy PEG-114 Polycaprolactone Diol/Ipdi Copolymer

Bis-Methoxy PEG-114 Polycaprolactone Diol/Ipdi Copolymer is a copolymer made of two or more linked repeating units.[1] The number 114 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. Within the same base structure, changing this number may affect water dispersibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formula. In cosmetics, it is used to buffer against sudden changes in formula acidity, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly blended, and form a thin film on the skin, hair, and nail surfaces after application.[1] It is also used to reduce hair tangling and roughness for smoother grooming, dissolve other ingredients to create a uniform formula, and lower surface tension so ingredients wet, blend, and spread evenly.[1]
