About Bis-Hydroxypropyltrisiloxyl Ipdi/PEG-23 Copolymer

Bis-Hydroxypropyltrisiloxyl Ipdi/PEG-23 Copolymer is a copolymer of hydroxypropyltrisiloxyl isophorone diisocyanate and PEG-23 monomer.[1] The number 23 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added; within the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth, help formula ingredients bind together and maintain their form, and allow sebum and impurities to be washed away with water.[1] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[1]
