About Bis-Butyldimethicone Polyglyceryl-3
Bis-Butyldimethicone Polyglyceryl-3 is a silicone polymer.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother manageability.[2] It is also used to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth, lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly, and control the viscosity and flow of a formulation.[2]
