About Benzylidene Camphor Sulfonic Acid
Benzylidene Camphor Sulfonic Acid is a compound containing an acidic group.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce changes to products and formula ingredients caused by ultraviolet radiation and to absorb or reflect ultraviolet radiation, thereby reducing the amount that reaches the skin.[3] In Europe, when used as a UV-filtering ingredient, it is permitted at up to 6% (based on acid content).[2]
