About Behenyl Pg-Trimonium Chloride

Behenyl Pg-Trimonium Chloride is a quaternary ammonium salt.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling together, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and reduce tangling and roughness for smoother-feeling hair.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
