About Behenyl/Isostearyl Beeswax

Behenyl/Isostearyl Beeswax is an ester of a mixture of isostearyl alcohol and behenyl alcohol with beeswax acids.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction and add a smooth feel to skin or hair, create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and form a thin film on the surface of skin, hair, or nails after application.[2] It is also used to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
