About Behenyl Alcohol
Behenyl Alcohol is a mixture of fatty alcohols composed mainly of n-docosanol.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help ingredients in a formula bind together and maintain its form, reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and keep emulsions of water and oil from separating easily.[2] It is also used to adjust the viscosity and flow of a formula.[2]
