About Banksia Serrata Seed Oil
Banksia Serrata Seed Oil is a fixed, nonvolatile oil obtained by pressing the seeds.[1] It is composed mainly of fatty components from the seeds of Banksia Serrata, so it mixes better with oils than water and is suitable for adding slip and a supple feel to skin or hair while reducing the sensation of rapid moisture loss. In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formula ingredients caused by reaction with oxygen, reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for smoother conditioning, and help attract water to the formula and skin surface to maintain hydration.[2] It is also used to leave the skin surface soft and smooth and to protect the skin from external factors.[2]
