About Babassuamidopropyl Betaine
Babassuamidopropyl Betaine is a zwitterionic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, and increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable. [2] It is also used to reduce hair tangling and roughness for smooth manageability, leave the skin’s surface soft and smooth, and lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] It is used to adjust the viscosity and flow of a formulation.[2]
