About Arachidyl/Behenyl Betainate Mesylate

Arachidyl/Behenyl Betainate Mesylate is an ester in which portions derived from an acid and an alcohol are joined.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable. It is also used to help water-insoluble ingredients disperse more evenly in the water phase, to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to keep solid particles or droplets from clumping together and help them disperse evenly.[1] [1]
