This is a raw material extracted from the roots of Angelica acutiloba, Paeonia lactiflora, Rehmannia glutinosa, and Scutellaria baicalensis; the rhizomes of Cnidium officinale and Coptis chinensis; the fruit of Gardenia jasminoides; and the bark of Phellodendron chinense.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth and to reduce friction on the skin or hair while adding a smooth feel.[1]
