About Amp-Isostearoyl Hydrolyzed Silk

Amp-Isostearoyl Hydrolyzed Silk is the aminomethyl propanol salt of the concentrated product of Hydrolyzed Silk and Isostearic Acid Chloride.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce hair tangling and roughness for smooth manageability, to smooth and condition fingernails and toenails, and to leave the skin's surface soft and smooth.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content in finished products is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and nitrosamine content must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
