AMP-Acrylates/C1-18 Alkyl Acrylate/C1-8 Alkyl Acrylamide/Hydroxyethylacrylate Copolymer is a polymer consisting of the aminomethyl propanol salt of a monomer made from C1-18 alkyl acrylate, C1-8 alkyl acrylamide, and acrylic acid, or one of their esters.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help create or straighten waves in hair-styling products.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of the finished product is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and the nitrosamine content must not exceed 50 ฮผg/kg.[2]
