About Ammonium Va/Acrylates Copolymer
Ammonium Va/Acrylates Copolymer is the ammonium salt of a polymer of vinyl acetate and two or more monomers consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, or their simple esters.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, help ingredients in a formulation bind together and maintain its form, and form a thin film on the skin, hair, and nail surfaces after application.[2] It is also used to hold a desired hairstyle in place.[2]
