About Ammonium Tallate
Ammonium Tallate is the ammonium salt of tall oil fatty acids.[1] Its solubility and charge state vary depending on the components forming the salt and the formula's acidity, which also affects how it interacts with other ingredients. In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
