About Ammonium Stearate

Ammonium Stearate is the ammonium salt of stearic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help rinse sebum and impurities away with water, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and reduce surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
