Ammonium Silver Zinc Aluminum Silicate is a silicate formed by the reaction of zeolite with silver nitrate, ammonium nitrate, and zinc nitrate.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to absorb liquids in the formula, such as moisture or oil; to reduce the prominence of unpleasant odors; and to inhibit microbial growth in the product, slowing deterioration during storage.[3] It cannot be used in cosmetics in Europe.[2]
