About Aminomethyl Propanol

Aminomethyl Propanol is a substituted aliphatic alcohol.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to buffer the formulation so that its acidity does not change rapidly.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of finished products is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and the nitrosamine content must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
