About Aluminum Isostearates/Stearates
Aluminum Isostearates/Stearates are aluminum salts of a mixture of stearic acid and isostearic acid.[1] In cosmetics, they are used to help powder ingredients flow evenly without hardening into lumps, keep emulsions of water and oil from separating easily, and reduce light transmission so the contents appear less translucent.[2] They are also used to control formulation viscosity and flow.[2]
