About Aluminum Isostearates/Laurates/Stearates
Aluminum Isostearates/Laurates/Stearates are aluminum salts of a mixture of isostearic acid, lauric acid, and stearic acid.[1] In cosmetics, they are used to help powder ingredients flow evenly without clumping, prevent emulsions of water and oil from separating easily, and reduce light transmission so the contents appear less transparent.[2] They are also used to adjust the formulation's viscosity and flow.[2]
