Aluminum Chlorohydrex PEG is a coordination compound of aluminum chlorohydrate and polyethylene glycol, in which some of the water molecules normally coordinated to the metal are replaced by polyethylene glycol.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce sweat secretion, provide a temporary tightening or astringent sensation on the skin or scalp, and reduce the prominence of unpleasant odors.[2]
