About Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide

Alpha-glucan oligosaccharide is a glucose oligomer with a polymerization range of 2-10, obtained by the reaction of sucrose with Leuconostoc mesenteroides glucosyltransferase.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, to leave the skin's surface soft and smooth, and to even out the surface of skin or hair for a smooth feel.[2] D-Glucopyranose monomers are connected by (1-2), (1-6), and (1-4) bonds.[1]
