Albumen Extract is a raw material extracted from the portion of albumen that does not coagulate immediately upon heating.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, to reduce tangling and roughness in hair for a smoother finish, and to attract moisture to the formulation and skin surface to help maintain moisturization.[2] It is also used to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
