About Acrylates/Beheneth-25 Methacrylate/Hema Crosspolymer

Acrylates/Beheneth-25 Methacrylate/Hema Crosspolymer is a crosslinked ingredient formed by crosslinking polymers of one or more monomers containing acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, or one of their simple esters, together with Beheneth-25 Methacrylate and HEMA, using the allyl ether of pentaerythritol.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to prevent easy separation of emulsions containing water and oil, to form a thin film on the surface of skin, hair, or nails after application, and to hold a desired hairstyle in place. It is also used to adjust the viscosity and flow of a formula.[2] [2]
