About Acrylamide
Acrylamide is an ingredient containing an amide bond. Acrylamide may not be used in cosmetics in South Korea. However, when it is derived from polyacrylamides, it is excluded from this restriction when present at no more than 0.1 ppm in leave-on body products and no more than 0.5 ppm in other products.[1] It is described as a colorless crystal with no distinct odor, so when it is in solid form, it is important to dissolve it first or disperse it evenly to prevent clumping in the formulation.[2]
