About Abies Sibirica Needle Oil
Abies Sibirica Needle Oil is a volatile oil obtained from the needles of the Siberian fir.[1] Volatile components obtained from the needles contribute to the initial impression of the fragrance and the lingering scent after application, and tend to evaporate more lightly than ordinary plant oils. In cosmetics, it is used to add fragrance to products or adjust the characteristic odor of the raw materials.[4] In Korea, oils and extracts from the needles cannot be used in cosmetics when their peroxide value exceeds 10 mmol/L.[2] In Europe, only raw materials with a peroxide value below 10 mmol/L may be used.[3]
