About 6-Hydroxyindole
6-Hydroxyindole is a heterocyclic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to color hair.[4] In Korea, it may be used only in oxidative hair dyes at up to 0.5%, and cannot be used in other products.[2] In Europe, it may be used as a coloring ingredient in oxidative hair dyes; when the product mixed immediately before use is applied to the hair, the concentration is up to 0.5%.[3]
