2-Amino-3-Hydroxypyridine is a heterocyclic aromatic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to color hair.[4] In Korea, it may be used at up to 1.0% only in oxidative hair dyes and cannot be used in other products.[2] In Europe, it may be used as a dye ingredient in oxidative hair dyes; when the product is mixed immediately before use and applied to the hair, the concentration is up to 1.0%.[3]
