2,6-Diaminopyridine is an aromatic amine.[1] Its properties and sensory feel in finished products may vary depending on the concentration, the other ingredients used with it, the formula's acidity, and manufacturing conditions. In cosmetics, it is used to color hair.[3] In Korea, it may be used at up to 0.15% only in oxidative hair dyes; it cannot be used in other products.[2]
