VT CosmeticsLuminous Skin PackHonestly, it felt pretty average—neither good nor bad! It didn't feel bad to use, and it was decently moisturizing, so there wasn't anything in particular that bothered me. But compared to other sheet masks, I didn't really notice any features that made me think, "It has to be this one!" Personally, I don't think there's any particular reason to go out of my way to choose this one 🤔 But I really like how thin the sheet is! Because it's so thin, it fits snugly against the skin and doesn't lift or slide around easily, which was nice. It also seems easy to use while doing other things ◎ My honest opinion is, "It's not bad, but if I were to repurchase, I'd probably choose something else!"

Hada LaboGokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Lotion\Incredible hydration and thickness! Might not be for everyone if you like layering products/ Even a small amount has a substantial “thickness” to it, and this alone feels like it replenishes a lot of moisture and hydrates really well. However, the trade-off for that intense hydration is a texture that tends to leave your skin feeling somewhat sticky and tacky right after application. I have dry skin myself, but my daily skincare routine is the type where I layer products in order: “lotion → serum → emulsion or cream.” So when the first lotion is too thick, I find it a little hard to tell whether the serum I apply afterward is blending into and absorbing into my skin. Since I’m someone who finishes by sealing in the moisture with a cream, I think I prefer a lighter lotion that I can splash on more generously. Its hydrating power on its own really is amazing, so it seems like it would be useful in winter when dryness is especially concerning or when I want to keep my routine simple. But considering how well it works with my usual layered skincare routine, I’m a little unsure whether I’ll repurchase it after I finish the bottle.

Skin&LabEctoin Milky Cream TonerIt’s a toner, but it feels like an emulsion! I really love it for fall and winter 🤍 Even though it’s a toner, it’s super milky, with a soft, syrupy texture. With ectoin, beta-glucan, and panthenol, it makes sense that the formula focuses on hydration. It has some viscosity, but it doesn’t feel heavy, and it feels like it sinks right in when you work it into your skin. It’s not sticky, but it leaves my skin moisturized and plump, which I absolutely loved ♡ It’s to the point where I feel like I might not even need an emulsion on lighter skincare days. It barely has any scent, so it’s easy to use. After applying it to my face, I just keep spreading it down over my décolletage and then my arms 😂 There’s 200 ml, so I also love that I can use it generously ◎ I especially recommend it for fall and winter, when skin tends to get dry. I discovered it as a freebie, but it’s honestly become one of my favorites 🤍 Repurchase: Yes ◎

UIQ (Genome & Company)Biome Barrier TonerThe name changed from Biome Barrier Toner to Biome Barrier Treatment Essence. The texture is somewhere between watery and thick. I like this kind of consistency. I apply 2–3 layers with a cotton pad. It isn't sticky. I want to take care of my skin barrier, so I want to keep using this.

AlbionSkin Conditioner Essential NI've been using and loving this for well over 10 years, since I was in my 20s. It's the skincare product I've repurchased more than anything else in my life—my holy grail skincare. My skin is just so much calmer when I use this than when I don't. When my skin feels like it's about to act up, using Skin Conditioner Essential N keeps it calm and makes my skin feel balanced. It's not like, super moisturizing! It makes your skin plump and bouncy! But it does help prevent irritation, hydrate, and keep my skin healthy✨️ Skin Conditioner Essential N claims to “balance and maintain healthy skin,” and I think that's exactly what it does. It feels cool and refreshing, and it's especially fresh and soothing to use in summer🫧 It's also perfect for sunburned skin☀️ I'm not really prone to acne, but I think that might be thanks to using Skin Conditioner Essential N consistently. It finally became available to buy online this year, so now it's even easier to get🙌 I'll keep using it from here on out🌟

AplinPink Tea Tree TonerI’d been curious about the cute pink color, and it turns out this serum uses absolutely no artificial coloring and gets its color from “natural pink vitamins” 🫶🏻 It has a fresh, slightly thick texture that absorbs well into the skin and feels nicely moisturizing✨ I also love that I can do my skincare while enjoying the soothing floral scent😍

ElixirBrightening Lotion CAI bought this because I wanted a toner that also provides brightening care. I used it long enough to receive about three recurring deliveries! I use the "moist type." It's a slightly thick toner, but once you work it into your skin, it surprisingly feels like it absorbs really well, without feeling too sticky or heavy. My skin is thin and prone to dryness, so I like toners that feel like they properly replenish moisture. This was easy to use because it feels moisturizing without being too heavy. It's a quasi-drug containing 4MSK, an active brightening ingredient, and another reason I bought it was that I could get brightening care and age-appropriate moisturizing care at the same time. It comes in a fresh type and a moist type, but I'm definitely on team moist! I get it through recurring delivery, and the pump dispenser I received with my first order was also super convenient. Since it's something I use every day, this makes things way easier than I expected 😂

IPSAThe Time R Aqua EThe sample was so good that I ended up spending 5,500 yen on a toner. I used to be all about affordable toners, but I really liked how the sample felt, so I bought the full size. My skin is thin and prone to dryness, and it often feels like it's lacking moisture, but I like how this makes my skin feel thoroughly replenished and hydrated after using it. It's not a sticky, heavy kind of moisture—it feels fresh and dewy. It's been about three months since I bought it, and I've been alternating it with other toners, but so far it's a firm favorite. In terms of comparing products under the Shiseido umbrella, I also tried SHISEIDO Eudermine Activating Essence, and to me, it felt somewhat similar in the sense that it “hydrates with a fresh, dewy feel and leaves my skin balanced.” Eudermine is 9,900 yen for 145 mL, while IPSA is 5,500 yen for 200 mL. Of course, they're different products, so you can't compare them directly, but when it comes to what I want from a toner—“the feeling that my skin has been thoroughly replenished with moisture,” IPSA is extremely satisfying. The packaging is so beautiful that I'd just assumed it cost over 10,000 yen, so the fact that I saw 5,500 yen and thought, “That's surprisingly cheap!” means my sense of money is completely broken 👼 It's scary that my toner budget keeps going up and up, but this is a contender for a repurchase even after I finish it.

Skin&LabGlutathione Ampoule TonerThis toner caught my attention after I saw a makeup artist PICK it. What got me interested was purely a beauty professional's recommendation, but when I looked at the ingredients, I saw that it contains 3,000 ppm of 99% pure glutathione. I had always associated glutathione itself with IV drips and supplements, so I was surprised and intrigued to find it in skincare too. It also contains niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, polyglutamic acid, ceramide NP, and more, and personally, I really liked the combination of ingredients as well. Rather than a product that puts glutathione alone front and center, it feels more like a toner that replenishes moisture while helping with dullness caused by dryness and improving the overall condition of the skin. The texture is on the moisturizing side but not too heavy, and it's easy to layer. Personally, I I like that it feels more like an ampoule toner, just as the name suggests, than a regular toner. I initially checked it out because “it was recommended,” but after actually looking at the ingredients and how it feels to use, I can see why this product is so popular. It's a toner I'd like people who choose products based on ingredients to check out at least once.

CelimaxThe Real Noni Moisture Balancing TonerI bought this when I was struggling with problem skin and kept using it for a long time! It feels more soothing than moisturizing, so I think it's gentle to use when your skin is acting up! Best for oily skin!!

IPSAThe Time R Aqua EI love this product and have repurchased it 3 or 4 times. Lately I've only been using Korean products, so I haven't gotten to use this, but when I do, my skin feels like it's filled with moisture, and it's such a good product that it makes me think, this really is the one! It's just slightly viscous, but basically very watery. It's a product that helps your skin retain more moisture, so I think it's good for people with dehydrated skin or anyone who wants to boost hydration. It's a basic product, and I think it'll probably work for a lot of people's skin.

NaturieHatomugi Skin ConditionerGreat value, so you can splash it on generously ◎ The huge 500 ml bottle means you can use as much as you want without holding back! It feels light and watery, and it really came in handy when my skin felt hot or irritated. It doesn't feel very irritating, and the simple formula is reassuring ◎ Moisturizing-wise, it's so-so, I guess? Rather than deeply moisturizing, it feels like it gives your skin an initial boost of hydration. I recommend sealing it in with an emulsion or cream afterward. When my skin isn't doing well or I want to keep my summer skincare light, I like the first thing that touches my skin to be something simple like this ☺️ Would repurchase: Yes ◎

AEQUWACalming Glow TonerIt's watery and absorbs into the skin right away. It's refreshing, so it might not be moisturizing enough during dry seasons. I recommend it for people with combination or oily skin. It leaves my skin feeling plump after application. My skin was irritated and red from acne, but after a few hours, it had calmed down and the redness was gone. It feels similar to Anua's toner, but while Anua's toner didn't calm my skin, this toner worked, maybe because it suited my skin better. I recommend it for anyone struggling with acne. Using it as part of my skincare before makeup gives me glowing skin.

IhadaWhitening Clear LotionThis is a toner from Ihada. I bought it because Ihada is made by Shiseido, a brand I like, and also because a friend recommended it to me. It feels really nice to use, and I love it. It's not too sticky, and it absorbs into the skin quickly. I'm using the whitening version, and while it doesn't whiten your skin immediately after application, I think you'll notice your skin becoming calmer and smoother the more you use it. I recommend it since you can buy it at drugstores.

Clé de Peau BeautéLotion Essentielle AA moisturizing toner formulated with their proprietary Precious Rice Koji Ferment Extract (for hydration). The gold bottle is beautiful✨ They recommend three pumps, applied with either a cotton pad or your hands. I prefer pressing it in with my hands. It has a slightly thick texture but absorbs well🥰 It leaves my skin moisturized, and the fragrance is gentle and not too strong. I have dry skin, so this is a staple for me. It's pricey, but you get 170 ml, so it lasts quite a while.

MatsuyamaHadauru Moisturizing Infusion Balancing LotionMy whole family shares and uses this at my parents' house. Above all, it's very gentle, and the best thing about it is that it absorbs gently without stinging, even when my skin is irritated or during seasons when it's prone to sensitivity. It's not sticky, but it thoroughly moisturizes all the way to the stratum corneum and helps calm my skin down. Anyone can use it comfortably regardless of age or skin type, so I think it's perfect for at-home skincare for the whole family. We plan to keep repurchasing it as a staple at my parents' house.

MamondeFlora Glow Rose Liquid MaskI tried this while looking for something that would help my makeup go on better, and I honestly liked it way more than I expected 🥹🌹 After I apply it, my skin texture feels smoother and more refined, so my base seems to go on so much prettier the next day!! Especially when applying foundation, it feels like it adheres to my skin more evenly than usual, and my base doesn’t lift as much because of flaky skin, so it’s great to use before makeup 💗 When I use it while my skin is looking dry and rough, it looks more hydrated and smooth, so I can really see a difference when I do my makeup ✨ I love that smooth, flawless look when makeup goes on well, so I was pretty satisfied, and I especially want to recommend this to anyone whose base keeps lifting or who’s worried about their skin texture 🫶🏻(I can’t do my makeup without this!!)

TorridenDive In Low Molecule Hyaluronic Acid TonerTorriden toner is so famous that I was curious and tried it, and it was way better than I expected 🥹💙 The texture is light and hydrating like water, so it's great to apply right after washing my face!! I'm not a big fan of sticky toners, but I liked that this left my skin hydrated without feeling heavy 🫧 Even one layer feels hydrating, and when my skin feels dry, layering it several times doesn't feel like too much It's gentle enough to use even on days when my skin isn't in great condition, so I find myself reaching for it often as a daily toner 💗 I'd recommend it if you're looking for a toner that gives your skin a light boost of hydration!!
