D'AlbaUV Essence Waterfull Tone-Up Pink Correcting Sunscreen SPF 50+The texture is soft and glides on smoothly. The scent is citrusy Leaves a very dewy finish The tone-up effect is natural. This was my first time buying it, and until I got used to it, I was amazed that a makeup base could be this non-drying, but it is quite dewy, so it looks good right after applying makeup, but as time passes, it combines with my own oiliness and makes my entire face look shiny. I prefer semi-matte skin, so that may be part of it, but I can't tell if it's dewy or just greasy... It seems like I'll need to make some adjustments when doing my makeup, like blotting the shine with a tissue before applying it. I don't use it for makeup anymore and now use it as sunscreen for days when I'm staying home.

Naris UpBy365 Powdery UV Gel No Color SPF 50+A UV sunscreen for the face and body. The gel formula spreads easily and blends right into the skin. After applying it, it feels so lightweight that I forget I'm even wearing it. However, the ethanol felt too strong for use on my face, and since I'm sensitive to irritation from ethanol, it didn't work for me. It's easy to apply to my arms and legs, and I don't notice any friction with my clothes, so it stays smooth and comfortable ◎ Although it offers strong sun protection, I felt like it came off easily with sweat, so frequent reapplication is a must. It's an easy sunscreen to use for kindergarten drop-offs and pick-ups or when I'm “just popping out for a bit.”

AlbionS-UV Cut Wrinkle Illuminating Day CreamThis sunscreen was a pretty big splurge for me. I just went for it and bought it 😂 11,000 yen for sunscreen......expensive. But I'd wanted to try it once, so I took the plunge. After actually using it, to me it feels more like a beauty cream than a sunscreen. It spreads smoothly but still feels moisturizing, and doesn't dry out easily. I also like that it doesn't tend to interfere with primer, foundation, or concealer. Even with my thin, redness-prone skin, it doesn't feel very irritating, and it's easy to use even when my skin is acting up, so I really like it in that regard. It's SPF50+ PA++++, and being able to protect against UV rays every morning like I'm applying a beauty cream is really nice. But 11,000 yen is still expensive 😂 I'm really happy with how it feels, but if you ask whether I'd pay another 11,000 yen to repurchase it after I finish it......I'm still on the fence for now. It's not like, "It was expensive and I regret buying it"—I'm glad I got to try it once. But next time I might look for something a little more affordable, is how I feel.

About ToneSun Serum Base [SPF50+/PA++++]It looks white when dispensed onto the hand, but blends out clear with no tone-up effect. The texture is on the runny side and glides on smoothly. I'm also happy with the moisturized, thin-film finish since I have a lot of areas prone to dryness. It's great for creating a glowy base too. It looks like an ordinary primer, but whether I use it or not makes a difference in how well my foundation applies and how long my makeup lasts, so it's a primer I find myself reaching for again and again. Even around my nose, on days when I use this, the most I notice is a little oil coming through, and I don't have to worry about my makeup breaking down. (These are my thoughts as someone with combination skin that leans dry.)

COSRXAloe 54.2 Aqua Tone-up Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA++++This is a pink-beige tone-up UV primer. The tone-up effect is subtle, with no white cast, and the finish looks natural. It contains aloe extract, so it seems gentle on the skin, and I like the moisturized finish, but... The pilling just won't stop! It pills even when I use it over COSRX cream 💦 I tried waiting a while and using it with other creams I own, but I couldn't find a combination that didn't pill.

La Roche-PosayUvidea Anthelios Tone-Up Rosy SPF50+They say it's for men! A clear makeup base! But it definitely brightens your skin. Honestly, even for men, this is pretty bright... At first I thought, white?! It does gradually become more transparent, but I'm still not okay with how white it looks.

MujiSunscreen Milk SPF50+ PA++++▶︎Muji Sunscreen Milk SPF30 ✂-------------------- I'll be relying on Muji's sunscreen milk again this year 🌞✨ I've been using this Muji Sunscreen Milk since last year, and it reminded me how much I like it 🧡 I can quickly apply it as part of my morning skincare routine, and I'm seriously so grateful that it isn't sticky at all! Plus, it's a milk type, so it spreads easily and doesn't leave a white cast either ◎ It's the type that washes off with soap, so on weekends when I don't wear makeup, I can just put this on and wash my face at night, which is super easy 😂 (If you're concerned, it's better to use a cleanser.) Also, it doesn't have that distinctive sunscreen smell or squeaky feeling, so it's easy to use! For everyday life, being able to use this one bottle for both my face and body saves time and really helps 🧴💨 I also love the simple packaging that's so Muji ♡ This is the old version, but I recommend the new version too, so give it a try 🙌

UV-YohouSarasara UV Gel FOur family uses it every day, and we're currently on our third bottle! My favorite sunscreen for everyday use is UV-Yohou's Sarasara UV Gel F. A large size for around 2,000 yen I like that it's a large size and reasonably priced, the scent doesn't bother me, and the gel formula is light and easy to spread. We can use it generously, so the whole family uses it every day. My kids and husband use it on their faces and bodies, while I mainly use it on my neck and hands. The biggest plus is that my kids let me apply it without a fuss! Since sunscreen is something you apply every day, I think it's more important for kids' sunscreen to be something they'll use without a fuss than to have impressive specs. When the whole family uses sunscreen, it runs out fast, so I'm grateful that it comes in a large size. We're currently on our third bottle, and it's become our go-to for everyday use 💛

PolaWhite Shot Serum UV SPF 50+I used the version before the reformulation and liked how it felt, so I repurchased it after the reformulation too 🔁 A sunscreen that provides solid protection from sun damage while also offering brightening and skin irritation prevention benefits. At my age, I want to be particular about sunscreen, so I chose this one. Of the several sunscreens I own, this is one of my favorites. It's fragrance-free. Some people seem to think it smells like medicinal herbs, but it didn't bother me. The texture is like a fresh, lightweight cream. It blends in so smoothly and spreads endlessly, and I love that I can use it without worrying about friction or uneven application. It does contain alcohol, but it has never irritated my skin. The fact that it leaves my skin moisturized without feeling sticky is another thing that makes it easy to use. It's on the pricey side, so I basically use it on my face.

Cell Fusion CDark Spot Toning Sunscreen SPF 50+A sunscreen with a strong tone-up effect. I recently finished one, and I'm currently on my third tube. It spreads well despite the high SPF, and I like how it brightens my skin without leaving a white cast. On uneventful workdays, sometimes this is all I use for my base. Since it's sunscreen, when I wear it to work, it's creased by the time I get home. It doesn't look bad, though. It doesn't pill or flake off either, so it's easy to use and I like it.

Nature RepublicCalifornia Aloe Cooling Watery Sun Stick SPF 50+This cooling sun stick was a huge help this summer! 🧊☀️ A favorite that I used a ton this summer. I'm already on my second one◎ I'm pretty sure I bought it at PLAZA. I've seen it at drugstores too. Even though I always properly apply sunscreen to my face and arms, it's surprisingly easy to forget the back of my neck, my décolletage, and my ankles. Since it's a stick, I can quickly apply it without getting my hands dirty, so reapplying doesn't feel like such a hassle either. It's curved, so it's easy to fit along the contours of areas like my neck and arms, and all I have to do is glide it on—so easy It feels cool when applied, which is so nice in summer 🧊 I don't notice any white cast or stickiness, and even though it's moderately moisturizing, it feels smooth and dry on the surface. And I absolutely love the scent. Maybe it's an aloe scent? It's fresh, and I love it so much I could keep smelling it forever lol Maybe it's because I used it regularly this year, but I didn't notice as much sunburn as I usually do. The SPF 50+ and PA++++ are also a plus for summer use. It's easy to carry around and super convenient for reapplying. I'll probably buy it again next summer 😂☀️ Would repurchase ◎ (second one)

KwailnaraAloe Vera Moisture Aqua Soothing GelI tried this while looking for a lightweight soothing gel to use in the summer, and it was better than I expected. The texture is bouncy yet light, so it doesn't feel stuffy or heavy on the skin and leaves it feeling moisturized. It was especially nice to apply generously on hot days or when my skin felt hot from being dry. It absorbs pretty quickly too, so it wasn't overly sticky even when I applied a lot, and it felt even better and more cooling when I kept it in the fridge before using it. It was also convenient to use on dry areas like my arms and legs, not just my face. That said, it might feel a little light for anyone looking for a super rich, deeply moisturizing feel. If you're looking for a soothing gel you can apply generously without feeling weighed down, this is a decent product.

KaneboCream In Day IIMy favorite day cream. It smells so good and makes my morning skincare routine feel nice and relaxing. It's a soft cream that spreads easily and doesn't leave a white cast. When I finish my morning skincare with Cream In Day II and then do my makeup, my foundation goes on really well, and I just can't live without it!

CezanneUV Ultra Fit Base EXCezanne UV Ultra Fit Base EX 02 Peach Pink review🥹💗 It brightens my skin naturally and beautifully💗I find it drying, so I want to layer a really moisturizing sunscreen underneath🤝🏻 (I have dehydrated skin) If you have oily skin, this might be all you need as a makeup base☺️Every time I try one of Cezanne's base makeup products, I feel like they're all probably better suited for oily skin🤔

D'AlbaAir Fit Blue Tone-Up Sun PowderI feel like I say this every time, but D'Alba is cheapest during the Mega Sale. Is the new blue sunscreen powder not coming back in stock during the Mega Sale?🥹🩵(?) This type of powder is a total lifesaver for bangs wrecked by sweat and oil💭💭 The brush is cute like a puppy and super fluffy too! For getting rid of forehead shine & reviving my bangs‼️Of course, it’s also an easy way to get sun protection on your neck and face. Update: No sign of it coming back and I could cry, pretty please D'Alba🤲

Beauty of JoseonRelief Sun Aqua-Fresh Rice + B5 SPF 50+It's incredibly refreshing and non-greasy, so it's really perfect for summer. It's so lightweight I wonder if I even put it on, so it feels great to apply. There's nothing that makes me think, "It has to be this one!" but I like that it's affordable.

D'AlbaUV Essence Waterfull Tone-Up Pink Correcting Sunscreen SPF 50+This sunscreen feels fresh and watery, spreads easily, and feels lightweight on the skin! The pink color naturally cancels out dullness and subtly brightens and tones up the skin! It doesn't leave much of a white cast, and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a dewy finish◎ While it doesn't dry out easily, I felt like it wore off a little more easily on days when my skin was oilier😢 It's easy to use for both cool and warm undertones, but it's especially good for anyone who wants a more translucent look!✨

CurelSkin Repair UV Protection Serum SPF 50 PA+++It’s super moisturizing, and even my dry-prone skin stayed thoroughly moisturized all day in summer. The beige color naturally covers uneven skin tone and dullness, and for a quick outing, this alone gives me a finished enough look. However, if you apply a lot, it can easily leave a white cast, so be careful! I used it in summer, but it didn’t seem very sweat-resistant and came off quickly, so I felt it wasn’t suitable for summer. Since it’s highly moisturizing and I like how it feels and looks, I’d like to repurchase it in winter, when I’m especially concerned about impressions.

AstaliftD-UV Shield Tone-Up SPF 50+Astalift by Fujifilm. The shade is Rose. This has really strong sun protection. It's a must-have for summer. Even if you don't apply it every day, using this as a base on days when the UV rays are strong, when you'll be driving, or when you plan to go out keeps worries about the sun to a minimum. It barely has any tone-up effect, so I mix it with a CC cream or color corrector from another brand. If you're using it on its own, don't expect it to tone up your skin. lol But I definitely want people to use this on days when they're more concerned about sunburn than toning up their skin. If you're choosing just one base product for summer, this is the one. The downside of previous Astalift products was that they tended to break down easily, but I feel like that's been significantly improved with this one. Its adherence to the skin and how well foundation adheres to it are both satisfactory. However, the biggest selling point of this product is its UV protection, so I don't think it's particularly good at the tone-up effect I mentioned earlier or preventing dryness, which is important in fall and winter. I think you could buy one for summer and use something else in fall and winter. But I'll definitely buy it again next summer.

CurelSkin Repair UV Protection Serum SPF 50 PA+++I bought this for my face, but it really didn't agree with my skin, so partway through I switched to using it on my body. I have thin skin that gets red easily, so I bought this while looking for a sunscreen that seemed gentle on the skin. It felt moisturizing, and I had high hopes that it wouldn't dry out my skin easily. But when I actually used it on my face, the tone-up effect was way too strong for me, and I was bothered by the white cast. It also felt like it settled into my pores, and when I layered concealer and other products over it, they sat a little awkwardly on top, so it didn't work that well with my base makeup either. It does feel moisturizing, but as a facial sunscreen, I really disliked how it felt. It seemed wasteful to throw it away, so after that I used it as a body sunscreen on days when I was staying home or just going out around the neighborhood. A little whiteness doesn't bother me as much on my body, so I used it that way until it was finished. It might work for people who like moisturizing sunscreens or a tone-up effect, but I won't repurchase it for my face.
