KoséMake Keep MistI can't really tell the difference between when I use it and when I don't. But I spray this mist on a sponge and apply my foundation with it, thinking it might help my makeup last longer, so I just kind of do it. Like a good-luck-charm cosmetic? I don't have oily skin (I have dry skin), so my makeup doesn't tend to break down in the first place, which makes it hard to tell. It gives me peace of mind as a good-luck charm, so 2.5 stars.

ShiseidoEssence Skin Setting PowderI have all the shades. It keeps my skin feeling moisturized while leaving the surface silky smooth. Maybe it's because of the skincare benefits, but my skin feels softer when I use this powder. 01 Hydrating GLOW I wanted to use it with the Essence Skin Glow Foundation, so I first bought 01, the glowy version. The particles are fine, and it doesn't take away too much glow, so it makes my skin look beautiful. 02 Smoothing MATTE I was so impressed with 01 that I bought the matte version too. It's perfect for those times of year when leaving some glow makes my skin look more "greasy" than "glowy," which I don't like. 03 Pink Hydrating GLOW I bought this when it was restocked in July. It's a subtle pink shade with shimmer and pearl. The natural flush of color and pearly radiance create a glamorous, cute finish. That said, the pearl isn't too noticeable, so it looks very elegant. I love all of them. The only thing is, it's fairly small and contains just 7g of powder, so I think I'll go through it pretty quickly.

ShupongNo-Sebum PowderJust lightly apply it anytime, anywhere to freshen up greasy skin! It also helps your makeup last longer! The built-in puff makes it easy to use, and it's a convenient size to carry around, so you can quickly apply it whenever you need to💮 It's also great that it can be used in so many ways, like as powder for your bangs, blotting powder, or finishing powder😍❤️ The refreshing floral scent gives your mood a boost too🫶🏻

AlbionStudio Fine Silky QuartzI was looking for a powder that would softly blur my pores since they bother me, and I saw this recommended on social media, so I bought it. I got the yellowish one. I compared it with the pink one, but the pink added quite a lot of color to my complexion. There was also a blue one, but if it adds color in the same way, wouldn't it brighten your complexion quite a bit? An overly pale face doesn't suit me, but people who want to look as pale as possible might like it. I'd been using a powder that cost over 10,000 yen, and I felt like that one didn't do much to blur pores, so compared to that, this one seems fairly effective. But maybe I'm applying it wrong? Or using too much? I can't really tell much difference between this and powders in the 1,000-2,000 yen range. The powder itself feels cheap. Then again, the refill is 4,000 yen and the case is 1,000 yen, which is pretty cheap for a department store brand, so maybe the contents are the same as something in the 1,000-2,000 yen range. I bought the refill + case because I thought I wouldn't be able to use it without the case, but the refill comes with a lid, so you can carry it around and use it just fine. Only people who want a container with the Albion logo need to buy the case. I haven't had it for long yet, and I haven't experimented with how to apply it or spent a full day outside wearing it, so I'll see how it wears and how long it lasts before deciding whether to repurchase. Right now, I'm 50/50. It's not like I absolutely have to use this one, but well, it is cheap.

Laura MercierMatte Radiance Baked Powder CompactIt lasts so long, I feel like I could use it forever! It gives an elegant glow rather than looking super glittery. The pearl particles are very fine, but I feel like they make my pores stand out a little 💦 The powder gets all around the compact when I apply it, but once it's on my skin, it doesn't crease easily and seems to last well. It's about the size of my palm and nearly 2 cm thick, so it's not great for carrying around.

DecorteLoose PowderI always use this after foundation, and it gives natural coverage without making my face look white, so it’s really useful ☺️ Also, foundation alone can sometimes start to separate, but applying the powder helps keep it from breaking down!

DecorteLoose Powder▶︎Decorte Loose Powder ✂-------------------- \A light-diffusing face powder that melts right in/ The moment you apply it to your skin, it feels airy and light yet still moisturizing, with absolutely no powdery look✨ It naturally blurs pores and fine lines too, giving you a finish that looks like you put on a soft-focus filter. 00 translucent gives an elegant glow and makes your skin look brighter. I was worried that powder would make my skin look powdery, but that didn't happen at all💜 It doesn't break down easily even after hours, and I'm so happy that it doesn't crease much even when I'm wearing a mask🥹 The case feels so luxurious too, just as you'd expect from a department store cosmetic💎 When my makeup looks good in the morning, my mood is different all day, so it really made me realize how important base makeup is. I've only ever used tinted powders before, but this gives your skin a naturally translucent look, so if you haven't tried it yet, I definitely want you to give it a go🫶

DecorteLoose PowderThe super popular Decorte Loose Powder in shade 101 It's one of my favorite powders! The four types of powder softly blur pores and dullness, leaving skin with a natural glow and clarity. I have oily skin, but it keeps the surface of my skin smooth and silky, and even when my makeup breaks down over time, it still looks nice! The powder has a moist texture, so I feel like it adheres well too. I usually use it as a finishing layer over liquid foundation or cushion foundation. I also like it for quick outings because applying it over sunscreen gives my skin a soft, beautiful look! The puff is nice and fluffy, and I love that it lets me apply plenty of powder. I recommend working the powder into the puff first, then gently applying it to your skin for a beautiful finish. I bought it a year ago and alternate between this and the same Decorte Loose Powder in shade 00 depending on the day, but I still have plenty left. At first, it might feel a little expensive! But it's very cost-effective. Decorte powders come in so many varieties that it's hard to choose, but if you're unsure, I recommend this one ⟡.·

KoséMake Keep MistThis is the seasonal scented version of Kosé's Make Keep Mist. I bought it to help my makeup last longer. I do think my foundation and powder actually last longer, and I also use it when touching up my makeup. I was hoping it would work well enough that I wouldn't need to touch up my makeup when going out for something like a meal, but it didn't go that far; it just felt like it helped a little with creasing and things like that. My makeup lasted longer when I used Make Keep Mist, so I'm glad I bought it. However, I'd like to try something else next time.

TFITTranslucent Set Essential Powder01 White & 00 Glow I also have the Finishing Powder, but the Finishing Powder is super silky and ultra-fine, for summer and oily skin. The Essential Powder is softly silky and finely milled, so I felt like it might work well for just about everyone? 😌 It's not super moisturizing, so I'd also recommend it for people with dehydrated skin, combination skin, or anyone worried about dryness from air conditioning... ⭕️ Seems easy to use year-round Controls stickiness and shine while giving you soft, silky, semi-matte skin 00 Glow contains pearl particles that softly blur pores while adding a glowy finish, like you've applied highlighter✨ It's also cute layered on the high points of your cheeks as a highlighter👌 Seems like it'd look great in photos at dimly lit restaurants or cafes📸 Is White fragrance-free, maybe? Glow has a floral-like scent I think I'll use the Essential Powder whenever it's not summer☺️

Banila CoPrime Primer Finish PowderI'd had my eye on this product for ages, and I bought it because I was worried about oiliness while at work! It's easy to reapply, and the ultra-fine powder adheres really well, so my skin feels smooth and matte all day long! I carry it around with me because I want to get rid of shine!

DecorteLoose PowderThis is one of my favorite powders. It has a lightweight, moist texture and leaves my skin silky smooth. 101 has a beautiful glow, and the way it catches the light softly blurs and covers dullness, uneven tone, and pores. It's amazing how it looks beautiful even when I just slap it on without much thought.. Since the powder is moist, it's less likely to break down from dryness. It also holds up well against sweat and oil, and while it isn't completely budge-proof, it still looks nice as it wears off. It's a versatile powder that leaves your skin looking naturally beautiful and translucent, so I recommend it.

DecorteLoose PowderThe powder is finely milled and has a slightly moist texture. If you use powder regularly, it seems especially easy to use for dry skin or during winter. If you don't usually use much powder, it's also great for preventing shine in summer. If you prefer pressed powder, you may notice the moist feel more when comparing the two. It gives a finish that softly blurs pores, without looking too heavy. I think it's also easy to use for anyone who likes a natural, bare-skin finish. I got a nicer finish by applying it lightly with a large brush rather than the included puff. If using the puff, I recommend tapping off the excess once before applying so you don't use too much. It barely goes down at all even after a year of use, so I think it's a good powder to have on hand.

TFITTranslucent Set Finishing PowderIt gives a smooth, lightweight finish and keeps stickiness and shine under control! It doesn't look too powdery either, so it's easy to use ◎ It's great for everyday use and I'd also recommend it to anyone who prioritizes value for money!

AlbionStudio Fine Silky QuartzI have the blue and pink. It's a very finely milled, silky powder. It goes on sheer and really boosts translucency. It doesn't have any coverage, but it gives my skin a naturally beautiful finish and isn't drying, so I really like how it feels. I bought the blue first, but the blue tone is pretty strong, and on my yellow-toned skin it turned into a yellowish green, like the color of a thick vein, so I couldn't use the blue.. But since I liked how it felt, I bought the pink too. This color suits me better, giving me a nice healthy flush and making my skin look way more translucent and happy. I think the blue would give someone with fair, pink-toned skin an incredibly delicate, translucent look! It's neither particularly good nor bad in terms of staying power and coverage. What really stands out is how exquisite the color payoff is. I've never seen fancy pink and blue shades like these anywhere else. I love the colors and finish, so this is one of the powders I use all the time.

TFITTranslucent Set Finishing PowderI have extremely❗️ oily skin. Even when I set everything properly, my bangs get greasy right away, and my makeup—not just my eyeliner, but even my foundation—completely melts off from the oil 😭 The other day, I was hanging out with a friend, and her face was still smooth and matte even after eating malatang, so I asked what powder she was using, and it was this one. So I bought it right then and there. These are my thoughts after using it for about two weeks, but it's really good. First of all, it leaves my skin smooth and matte, and its oil-absorbing power is amazing. Also, this type of oil-absorbing powder tends to absorb too much and settle into pores in an ugly way, but even when I used this on my cheeks, it didn't visibly wear off in an ugly way. That alone makes it a winner for me. I usually used a 9,000-yen powder, but this powder in the 1,000-yen range gave me a much smoother, more matte finish and was better. Maybe the particles are fine? It also seemed to make my pores less noticeable. I chose White, and it's basically a colorless, translucent powder with no chance of leaving a white cast. Conversely, if you want a tone-up effect, I recommend Purple. If I had to point out one issue, it's that if you carry it around in your makeup pouch, a lot of powder comes out when you open the lid for touch-ups. It spills all over your sleeves and the table. lol Well, I don't mind because it's not a problem as long as I wipe it up afterward, but I guess that's the price you pay for the fine particles. I recommend it for anyone who wants to make their forehead and T-zone super smooth and matte.
