MaybellineFit Me Matte & Poreless FoundationI have dry skin, but in the summer I also tend to get sweaty and oily, and I struggled with my makeup breaking down easily. But this one didn't break down easily in the summer, even with my skin type! It also comes in a wide range of shades, so another thing I recommend is that you can find a shade that suits you!

Banila CoEssence Skin Dew CushionI have dry skin, but after discovering this in winter, it was the only thing I could use. It works really well with the Kansosan primer, doesn't break down easily, and adheres really well to my skin too!!

AlbionStudio Milk FoundationI was lost when it came to foundation for about six months, and this is the one I finally bought🩷 Before this, I was using a DIOR foundation. The shade matched me really well and I liked it, but some days it felt a little drying, so I spent about six months looking for something that would be a bit less drying. During that time, I tried samples of various foundations I was curious about, like DECORTÉ Zen Wear, SK-II, and SHISEIDO. Out of all of them, the one whose feel I liked best was Albion's Studio Milk Foundation! It glides on thinly and smoothly, yet it naturally covers the imperfections that bother me. Rather than thoroughly concealing everything for a perfected look, I prefer how it leaves a thin veil that makes my skin look beautiful. And what I especially liked was how it doesn't dry out my skin easily and how my skin doesn't feel stressed after removing it. My skin is thin and prone to dryness, so I'm really happy that it feels less "tired" after I remove my foundation. After trying all sorts of things for six months, I finally found one that made me think, "I'd buy the full-size version of this"🩷 So far, it's definitely a favorite!

VIDIVICIBlack Perfection Cover Fit Silk Skin Liquid Foundation [SPF40/PA++]Formulated with the Aero Silk Complex, it glides smoothly and lightly onto the skin for an “airy matte” look that doesn’t feel cakey 🫧 Even though it’s matte, it doesn’t feel heavy, and I love how it leaves my skin looking smooth and even ♡ A tiny amount goes a long way!

CosnoriTrue Tone PDRN BB CreamA translucent neutral color without that grayish cast typical of BB creams I always wear shade 21 in foundation, and the same shade 21 worked perfectly fine for me 🙆♀️ Plus, it covers redness and uneven skin tone, so you don't need foundation! You can go foundation-free! Going foundation-free isn't just a dream anymore 🌙 Even though it goes on sheer, it adheres really well to the skin, so I don't have to worry about it creasing even this summer, and it gives me naturally glowy skin!!

23 years oldDerma Thin Veil Base PrimerA mysterious primer that's moisturizing but leaves the surface silky smooth 🐈⬛ Texture: Green Lightweight and spreads well Fragrance-free How it feels: Soft, creamy texture Easy to spread evenly Feels fresh and hydrating while applying, with a silky-smooth finish 《What I liked》 ・Spreads well and blends easily ・Blurs the surface and makes it look smooth ・Silky and not sticky. It's about as silky as antiperspirant powder. 《Things to note》 ・The smoothing effect on uneven texture is subtle. It only gives a soft-focus effect, so don't expect it to cover enlarged pores. ・The green one doesn't give a dewy finish 【Overall】 There are three shades, and the green one is apparently for sensitive and dry skin. It's so strange how it feels moisturizing but turns silky once applied. It works well with my foundation. Unless I sweat a ton, it doesn't break down easily. It's better not to expect the ideal of perfectly filling in uneven texture. But I think I'd rather have it make my skin look moderately smooth than use something loaded with silicone that clogs my pores 🌙

DecorteTone Perfecting Concealer PaletteMy favorite concealer I've ever used! I've had really dark blue under-eye circles since birth, and I've tried concealers from DIOR, Covermark, and others. Since single-shade types have a uniform color, even after applying them, the darkest parts of my circles would often still show through a little. This comes with four shades, and being able to adjust the color depending on how dark my circles are and where they are makes it so easy to use! I layer a few different shades over my under-eye circles. Rather than completely covering them with a thick layer, I like how it blends in with my natural skin and makes my circles less noticeable in a natural-looking way. It doesn't dry out easily, and I also love that creasing isn't much of an issue even after some time has passed. My skin is thin, so layering too much concealer around my eyes can easily look messy, but this makes it relatively easy to get a natural-looking finish. I've tried all kinds of concealers, but so far this is my favorite. I think it's especially easy to use for people like me whose under-eye circles vary in darkness and are hard to cover nicely with a single shade. Even though it has four shades, I've actually only figured out how to use about two of them so far 😂 Even so, it's easier to adjust than a single-shade concealer, and I really like it.

AlbionStudio Fine Silky QuartzI was looking for a powder that would softly blur my pores since they bother me, and I saw this recommended on social media, so I bought it. I got the yellowish one. I compared it with the pink one, but the pink added quite a lot of color to my complexion. There was also a blue one, but if it adds color in the same way, wouldn't it brighten your complexion quite a bit? An overly pale face doesn't suit me, but people who want to look as pale as possible might like it. I'd been using a powder that cost over 10,000 yen, and I felt like that one didn't do much to blur pores, so compared to that, this one seems fairly effective. But maybe I'm applying it wrong? Or using too much? I can't really tell much difference between this and powders in the 1,000-2,000 yen range. The powder itself feels cheap. Then again, the refill is 4,000 yen and the case is 1,000 yen, which is pretty cheap for a department store brand, so maybe the contents are the same as something in the 1,000-2,000 yen range. I bought the refill + case because I thought I wouldn't be able to use it without the case, but the refill comes with a lid, so you can carry it around and use it just fine. Only people who want a container with the Albion logo need to buy the case. I haven't had it for long yet, and I haven't experimented with how to apply it or spent a full day outside wearing it, so I'll see how it wears and how long it lasts before deciding whether to repurchase. Right now, I'm 50/50. It's not like I absolutely have to use this one, but well, it is cheap.

ClarinsFix' Make-UpThe mist is super fine, and it binds with the makeup to keep it in place, so my makeup really does last longer and is less likely to crease. It works well enough that I can definitely tell the difference between when I use it and when I don’t, so it’s one of my favorites! It has a faint rose scent 🥀 I also love that it contains lots of skincare ingredients, so it cares for my skin while keeping my makeup in place. (It doesn’t feel moisturizing enough to make me think, “Wow, my skin feels so hydrated~,” but it’s nice that my makeup doesn’t crack from dryness)

Laura MercierMatte Radiance Baked Powder CompactIt lasts so long, I feel like I could use it forever! It gives an elegant glow rather than looking super glittery. The pearl particles are very fine, but I feel like they make my pores stand out a little 💦 The powder gets all around the compact when I apply it, but once it's on my skin, it doesn't crease easily and seems to last well. It's about the size of my palm and nearly 2 cm thick, so it's not great for carrying around.

DecorteLoose PowderI always use this after foundation, and it gives natural coverage without making my face look white, so it’s really useful ☺️ Also, foundation alone can sometimes start to separate, but applying the powder helps keep it from breaking down!

DecorteLoose Powder▶︎Decorte Loose Powder ✂-------------------- \A light-diffusing face powder that melts right in/ The moment you apply it to your skin, it feels airy and light yet still moisturizing, with absolutely no powdery look✨ It naturally blurs pores and fine lines too, giving you a finish that looks like you put on a soft-focus filter. 00 translucent gives an elegant glow and makes your skin look brighter. I was worried that powder would make my skin look powdery, but that didn't happen at all💜 It doesn't break down easily even after hours, and I'm so happy that it doesn't crease much even when I'm wearing a mask🥹 The case feels so luxurious too, just as you'd expect from a department store cosmetic💎 When my makeup looks good in the morning, my mood is different all day, so it really made me realize how important base makeup is. I've only ever used tinted powders before, but this gives your skin a naturally translucent look, so if you haven't tried it yet, I definitely want you to give it a go🫶

ShiseidoRevitalessence Skin Glow Foundation SPF30This seems like it would suit people who like light coverage and a natural, bare-skin finish. The coverage isn't all that high, so it's reassuring to use concealer as well on areas that bother you. Especially when I was concerned about my pores, I found it a little difficult to cover them with this alone. It didn't look too bad as it wore off, but I did get the impression that it breaks down more easily in summer or when you sweat. The dewy, moisturized glow looks beautiful, so I felt it would be good for people with dry skin or as a winter makeup base.

FweeSpa Glowing UV Tone-Up Base SPF 50+The light blue one is apparently the moisturizing type for dry skin, but I had no particular issues using it in the summer. It was recommended to me by someone I know with dry skin, so I do think it's true that it suits dry skin better. In the summer, it wears off normally in areas that get oily. The finish in the photo is with Fwee + WAKEMAKE foundation. The coverage isn't strong, but the tone-up effect is great, so I can totally go out with just this.

Addiction TokyoBlur & Lock Primer SPF 38 PA+++Doesn't feel like a pore-blurring primer at all Smooth, moisturizing texture It makes my skin look nice and smooth and the foundation I apply afterward makes my skin look even more even🦭✨ It's a light pink-beige shade and I can see a brightening effect plus I felt like it evened out my skin tone too! It feels moisturizing going on but once it's fully blended out, it isn't that sticky so I'm happy it's easy to use even in summer◎ It feels nice enough to apply all over my face but I mainly used it on my nose and inner cheeks😽🤍 As for whether it'll work in seasons when dryness is an issue I'll keep using it and come back with an update!

AlbionStudio Milk FoundationAlbion, known for its pre-lotion emulsions, came out with an emulsion-inspired foundation, so I gave it a try ♡ It's so fresh and hydrating that it's labeled a "foundation/daytime emulsion," and it leaves your skin with a "milky glow," almost like it does right after skincare. I also love that you can use it without a primer, and it has solid coverage too, so I had no complaints ◎ With dry skin, some foundations can make it look flaky or parched and even make you look older, but this didn't do that at all, so it's a favorite of mine ♡ With this level of moisture, I thought it would be even easier to use during the colder months when dryness is more of a concern.

TFITTranslucent Set Essential Powder( This is one I've repurchased.) Finish your makeup & touch it up while feeling cool anytime, anywhere🫶🏻 Cooling effect🧊 Cools down the heat in your skin It also covers skin redness and since it's an ultra-fine powder, your skin stays silky smooth and it also helps your makeup last⭕️ I get hot easily, so I was amazed the first time I used it✔︎

MaybellineGrippy Setting MistThe spray is so fine it doesn't even make your face feel wet! It feels like it gently envelops your face, and I think people who normally use makeup setting mists will absolutely love it ( ᎔˘꒳˘᎔)➰🎶 It's a famous brand, so you can't go wrong!

EspoirMakeup Bonding PrimerIt’s really great as a primer under cushion foundation! It has a glue-like texture, and when you spread it out, it dries just enough to help the foundation adhere beautifully. It’s also very moisturizing and doesn’t break up from dryness. As for oil and sweat, it’s neither good nor bad... I did wonder if it might be a little heavy for summer. I feel like it looks better and lasts longer in cooler weather. I was more like, wow! when I used it as a primer for cushion foundation than when I used it under liquid foundation. Once you spread it out, it dries to some extent and creates a smooth, flat surface, so if you apply the foundation from there without letting the two mix, it goes on beautifully. I feel like its main role is to create that flat surface. The pump dispenser also makes it easy to use!

AlbionSuper UV Cut Repair Perfection Base SPF 50+Even though I tried a bunch of other products along the way, I went through three tubes! It was watery and spread easily, and was really easy to use as both sunscreen and makeup primer. It didn’t feel too heavy, and I liked how I could quickly smooth it on every morning. I did use three tubes in the end, so it’s not like I have any complaints, but considering it’s 6,600 yen, I probably won’t repurchase for now. Before this, I was using the silver UV sunscreen from Orbis, and considering the price, how it felt to use, and everything else, I personally preferred Orbis overall. Albion was easy to use too, and I liked it enough to go through three tubes, but I never quite felt like, “This is the one I have to pay 6,600 yen for!” Or rather, maybe the silver UV from Orbis was just too perfect for me. There have been so many great sunscreens coming out lately, so I’m going to keep trying all kinds of them.
