  • Beauty of Joseon
    Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotics SPF 50+ PA++++

    Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen Review Season used: Summer Duration of use: 3 months Skin type: oily-dehydrated, acne-prone teenage skin User: 9th-grade middle school student (There’s a summary at the very bottom.) I tried using it in the summer. The thing I liked most was that it felt lightweight and fresh. Since it has a creamy texture, it applied smoothly and spread well, so I was pretty satisfied while putting it on. It didn’t feel very sticky or suffocating either, so I could comfortably apply it not only to my face but also to my body. However, there were quite a lot of disappointing things while using it. First of all, when I used it before makeup, the darkening was way too severe. At first my skin looked fine, but as time passed, I could noticeably see my face getting duller. Also, personally, I was disappointed with its sun protection and staying power. I used it on my entire face and body and reapplied it about four times a day, but I could still feel that my skin had gotten tanned after going to an amusement park. So personally, I found it difficult to trust on days when I had a lot of outdoor activities. The feel itself was lightweight and it spread well, so it was decent, but the UV protection—which is the most important part of sunscreen—was disappointing, and the darkening was also so severe that I absolutely don’t think I’ll repurchase it. Would repurchase ❌❌❌ [Summary] Pros: Lightweight and fresh, spreads well, creamy texture Cons: Severe darkening after makeup, disappointing sun protection, poor staying power Overall: The feel was nice, but the darkening and UV protection were so disappointing that I absolutely don’t plan to repurchase it

    Heartleaf Essence Pad Clear Touch

    Abib Heartleaf Essence Pad Clear Touch Review Season used: Winter Usage period: 3–4 months Skin type: Dehydrated oily skin, adolescent acne-prone skin User: 9th-grade middle school student (There’s a summary at the very bottom.) I used it for about 3–4 months during the winter. I have dehydrated oily, adolescent acne-prone skin, so my skin does get dry in the winter, but it’s basically oily, so heavy skincare products don’t really work for me. The biggest downside while using it was that it felt too greasy for dehydrated oily skin. After using the pads, my skin looked really shiny and felt sticky, so personally, the finish felt heavy. Sometimes the excess oil even caused breakouts, so it didn’t work well for me. I feel like it might be fine for people with dry skin. I also felt like there was way too much ampoule in the container with the pads. It was nice that they were moisturizing, but the ampoule would sometimes run out when I took a pad out, which made them a little inconvenient to use. I was also disappointed with how well the container sealed. While using it, the ampoule leaked every time, so I had to be careful about storing it. However, people around me with dry skin said it worked fine for them and was good for calming breakouts when they used it. So if you have dry skin, it might actually work well for you because of the moisturizing feel and calming effect. If you have dehydrated oily, acne-prone skin like me, I personally don’t recommend it. The finish felt too heavy, and the shine and stickiness were intense, so I don’t think I’ll repurchase it. Repurchase intention ❌ [Summary] Pros: Seems like it would be fine for people with dry skin; people around me said it was good for calming breakouts when used on dry skin Cons: Too greasy for dehydrated oily skin; very shiny and sticky after use; seems more suitable for dry skin; inconvenient to use because there’s too much ampoule; the container doesn’t seal well, so the ampoule leaks often; the excess oil could actually cause breakouts

  • About Tone
    Blur Powder Pact

    About Tone Blur Powder Pact review (I didn’t take separate photos and lost them, so I captured this from my archived Stories, and it says “I have no money”!! 😭) Season used: Summer Period of use: 1 month Skin type: Dehydrated-oily, acne-prone teenage skin User: 9th-grade middle school student (There’s a summary at the very bottom) I tried using it for about a month during the summer. Since I have dehydrated-oily, acne-prone teenage skin, my skin tends to get shiny easily from sebum in the summer, so I often use powder. I tried this while looking for a product that could also cover uneven texture and pores. What I liked most was that it covered uneven texture and pores well. After applying the powder, my skin’s surface looked a little smoother, and my pores and fine bumps were somewhat concealed, making my complexion look neat and polished. I also liked that it brightened my skin tone moderately without making it look too white or chalky. Rather than making my skin dramatically brighter, it just made it look slightly more radiant, so it looked natural to me. However, when I used it in the summer, the staying power wasn’t particularly impressive. I could feel the oiliness coming back over time, and when I reapplied it several times while touching up my makeup, my base makeup sometimes started to lift or look dry. Also, I personally found the included puff disappointing. I didn’t like the puff, so I ended up using a different puff or a brush instead. The powder itself also tends to break easily, so I think you need to be a little careful when carrying it around and using it. Still, I was satisfied with how neatly it covered uneven texture and pores and naturally brightened my skin tone. However, considering its staying power in summer and how it performs when touching up makeup, there were quite a few disappointing aspects, so I don’t think I’ll repurchase it. Intention to repurchase ❌ [Summary] Pros: Covers uneven texture and pores well, moderately brightens the skin tone Cons: Disappointing staying power for summer use, applying multiple layers makes the makeup lift and look dry, disappointing included puff, breaks easily

    No.1 Pantothenic B5 Active Soothing Serum

    Numbuzin Pantothenic B5 Active Soothing Serum Review Season used: Summer Usage period: 1 month Skin type: Dehydrated oily skin, adolescent acne-prone skin User: 9th-grade middle school student (Summary at the very bottom) I used it for about a month during the summer. I have dehydrated oily, adolescent acne-prone skin, so in the summer my sebum production increases and my skin gets shiny easily, but it’s also dry underneath. I was looking for a product that could manage both hydration and sebum, so I gave this one a try. What I liked most was that I could feel the red spots calming down. When I used it after my skin had become sensitive, the redness seemed to gradually settle down, and with consistent use, my skin also felt clearer overall. Also, applying a little at a time in several layers instead of putting on a lot all at once made it feel much fresher to use. It also helped with my inner dryness, so it was fine to use in the summer, and I felt like it slightly reduced excessive sebum production too. The downside is that it absorbs a little slowly. If you apply too much, it might feel slightly sticky, so I recommend applying an appropriate amount in several layers. Personally, I didn’t feel that the price was especially good value for money. I think it’s a bit expensive for a student to buy and use consistently, especially with their own money. Still, I was satisfied with it. Would repurchase ⭕️ Would repurchase Pros: Helps a lot with inner dryness, makes my skin feel clearer, good for soothing, fresher than other hydrating serums, helps prevent excessive sebum production Cons: Price is burdensome for a student to buy, absorbs slowly

    Real Hyaluronic Blue 100 Ampoule

    Wellage Real Hyaluronic Blue 100 Ampoule Review Season used: Spring~Summer Usage period: 3 months Skin type: Oily-dehydrated, adolescent acne-prone skin I used it for about 3 months from spring through summer. Since I have oily-dehydrated skin, my skin tends to get oily on the outside but dry on the inside, so when choosing a hydrating ampoule, I tend to pay attention to whether it properly addresses inner dryness. I liked that the Wellage Real Hyaluronic Blue 100 Ampoule did not feel heavy compared to other ampoules. There are many hydrating ampoules that only leave your skin feeling oily on the outside without properly addressing inner dryness, but this product felt like it was filling my skin with moisture while leaving relatively little oiliness, which I liked. It also had almost no stickiness, so it did not feel stuffy and felt fresh even when I used it before bed. The ingredients also seemed relatively gentle, so I think it would be fine for sensitive skin too, and I felt that it was a good daily ampoule for everyday use. The price was also fairly affordable, so it offered good value for money and did not feel burdensome to repurchase often even after I finished using it. The downside is that it absorbs a little slowly. Also, since it is gentle enough for even sensitive skin to use, the ingredients are not very potent, so it was difficult to expect noticeable effects in a short period of time. Still, overall, I think it is a good daily ampoule for oily-dehydrated skin because it feels lightweight, addresses inner dryness, and is not too expensive. Summary Downsides: Slow absorption, no short-term effects Upsides: Addresses inner dryness, does not look greasy or feel sticky, affordable price, not heavy, feels fresh when used before bed, gentle ingredients that even sensitive skin can use
